MasterCard Establishes New Regional Marketing Role

MasterCard International has promoted Natalie Lockwood to vice president, Marketing, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA).

Sydney-based Lockwood, who has led MasterCards marketing function in Australia and New Zealand since 1998, will work with MasterCards global brand building, regional management and local marketing teams to manage the marketing function across the regions. Her responsibilities will focus on ensuring the companys brand positioning is executed effectively and maximizing the global value of the MasterCard brand across APMEA. She will also continue to maintain oversight of Australia and New Zealand marketing activities. Over the past six years as MasterCards Marketing Director for Australia and New Zealand, Lockwood has been instrumental in translating global strategies locally and developing local advertising, promotions, public relations and sponsorship activity. She successfully launched the popular ‘Priceless’ advertising campaign in the Australia/New Zealand region and has coordinated its continual rollout. Lockwood, whose career spans 11 years in the financial industry in Australia, was previously Marketing Manager of the Card Products Division at Citibank Limited where she was responsible for promotions and marketing strategies of new products and partner relationships. Prior to Citibank, she worked with Westpac Banking Corporation. She holds a Bachelor of Business, Marketing degree from the University of Western Sydney.
