Tuesday 29 June 2004 00:58 CET | News

Beginning June 30, large merchants that accept MasterCard must meet new and stringent information security requirements when processing credit card transactions, with Visas deadline not far behind (September 30). Merchants, and the acquirers that represent them, are faced with the daunting task of choosing a compliance and vulnerability service firm that can conduct these security assessments while meeting the impending compliance dates. MasterCards June 30th deadline is aimed at preventing the compromise of MasterCards card holder information. TrustWave is certified by both MasterCard and Visa to conduct payment industry compliance assessments. TrustWave has already successfully completed over 50 on-site compliant assessments (more than any other vendor) through TrustKeeper, its vulnerability scanning and Compliance engine. Built by TrustWave from the ground up, TrustKeeper uses the most advanced scanning and assessment processes to enable merchants to complete the security assessments of the associations in an efficient and cost effective manner.
