Ingenico Boosts its Market Presence in Latin America

Already present in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico, Ingenico has open a new subsidiary in Chile. After two remarkable years in 2003 and 2004. Ingenico has become number One on the Latin America payment terminals market.

The market in Chile currently has an estimated size of 45,000 terminals. In 2004, the Group speed up its growth in Latin America with revenues up to 60 million euros. Over a 5-year period, the Groups revenues have almost quadrupled in this region. Over the past several years, Ingenico has built up a solid structure in Brazil, Argentina and Mexico, and the Group has recently selected Brazil as its software development center in the Americas and one of its major manufacturing sites. Ingenico is now extending its sales and services operations to Chile, one of the most dynamic, soundest markets in Latin America. Chile is the only country in the region that obtained A credit rating from Standard & Poor´s. With a healthy banking system, a high level of technological sophistication and powerful service infrastructure, the country holds tremendous potential for the electronic transaction business.
