InfiCorp and ANA Launch New Credit Card Program

Thursday 25 March 2004 20:03 CET | News

InfiCorp and ANA (All Nippon Airways) have launched the ANA CARD U.S.A., a co-branded Visa credit card program designed for ANA Mileage Club (AMC) members, the frequent flyer program of Tokyo-based ANA.

InfiCorp will issue and administer the ANA CARD U.S.A. through its InfiBank, N.A., affiliate. ANA CARD U.S.A. cardholders earn one mile for every dollar they spend using the card and will be awarded 5,000 bonus miles for the first purchase they make using the card (plus an additional 5,000 bonus miles if the first purchase is before Sept. 30, 2004). The card provides an array of additional benefits which include purchase security and extended warranty protection, travel and emergency assistance and auto renters collision damage waiver. AMC members also enjoy discounts for ANA in-flight purchases, discounts at ANA hotels, duty-free shops and airport shops. The card offers a 1.9 percent introductory interest rate for the first five billing cycles, and then goes to a competitive 13.99 percent variable rate; it has a $70 annual fee. ANA tapped InfiCorp to design a U.S.-based, dollar-denominated card program for its business customers to mitigate the inherent difficulties and currency exchange disadvantages related to using and making payments with a Japanese-based credit card. As part of the ANA CARD U.S.A. program, InfiCorp also provides both English and Japanese versions of the www.anacardusa.com web site, as well as Japanese-language customer service through Prestige International, a Tokyo- based worldwide provider of multi-lingual call centers.
