As the product is web based, it is suitable for organisations of all sizes from SMEs to the Global networks of multinational enterprises. The new version extends the management, maintenance and visualisation capabilities of the product. All current customers are to receive the enhanced version 2.1 free of charge as part of Iconium?s on-going support policy. The key features in ESP version 2.1 include: Organisation structure definition and maintenance - This allows you to create and maintain the monitoring structure of an organisation?s business entities using flexible drag and drop methods with an easy-to-use browser-based tool. Device allocation and management - This feature allows the user to manage registered devices by allocating them to business entities, and assigning different stored profiles to a device using the browser-based management tool. Agent configuration management - using an intuitive tree structure together with simple check boxes, a user is able to apply levels of sensitivity to selected individual workstations clusters of workstations. This is particularly relevant in business critical or financially sensitive areas. Time period reporting - With this feature, the user is able to set reports to automatically be produced for defined periods relative in time such as last month. Visual agent management - aimed at aiding ?security management at a glance?, this feature gives a graphical display to workstations, showing which ones are active (green) and which ones are off-line (red). Designed to comply with ISO-17799, the international standard for Information Security Management, ESP is able to monitor and report on some 6500 event types on a wide range of network devices. ESP agents sit on servers and workstations throughout a user organisation. By detecting defined types of activities as they occur, security incidents are identified, notified and may acted upon immediately, thus minimising possible consequential damage. ESP was developed with the help and cooperation of Royal & SunAlliance, which is now the first commercial user of the product. ESP is available on software licence purchase or rental. Prices are charged on a per server and per workstation basis. Agents start at £290 per server and £29 per workstation. There are price break discounts based on quantity. ESP rental prices are for one, three and five year periods and also reflect volume discounts.
