Fujitsu Supports Retail Point of Sale Solution with Identify Software Technology

Fujitsu Transaction Solutions, has deployed Identifys AppSight application support system as part of its strategy to lower support costs and improve the reliability of GlobalSTORE, Fujitsus highly configurable, Windows-based retail application. Fujitsu plans to embed the Identify technology into its next release of GlobalSTORE to enhance the applications supportability. Identifys AppSight application support system uses patented Black Box software technology to capture a complete, real-time record of enterprise application system events, conditions, and configuration--just as the flight recorder or "black box" in an aircraft captures a real-time record of each flight. Similarly, AppSights Black Box logs provide invaluable diagnostic information when problems arise with an enterprise application and/or the system on which it runs. With the AppSight Black Box documentary log, Fujitsus support team can replay, rather than recreate any reported problems, eliminating up to 80 percent of the cycle time typically consumed by root cause analysis. Before adopting AppSight for GlobalSTORE support, Fujitsu did a detailed ROI projection and concluded that the solution would pay for itself within the first year. Reality has proven better yet. AppSight also provides Fujitsu with objective evidence in instances where GlobalSTORE is not the source of an apparent problem.
