Friday 28 December 2018 11:49 CET | News

Fitbit has announced that the backend technology for Fitbit Pay already exists and that it is ready to roll out in India.

The company waits for the Reserve Banks of India (RBI)’s necessary approvals and clearance or allows NFC-based payments services in the country.

Fitbit Pay is currently available in 25 countries (including the US, Australia, the UK, and Singapore).

Earlier in April 2018, Fitbit announced the availability of Santander on Fitbit Pay for UK users.
