The partnership will extend over 36 countries through an API integration into the three Revolut apps (Consumer, Business and Junior). Since April 2021, epay has been offering Revolut customers access to digital content and brands in the categories of food, entertainment, lifestyle, gaming, health, wellness, as well as home office. With this access, Revolut customers can buy vouchers and digital content on the Revolut app. In addition to the phase 1 countries who received this access in April 2021, including the UK and much of Europe, other countries and core markets such as the USA and Australia will follow in the coming months.
According to a Revolut representative, the flexible API integration provides access to a wide range of scalable content to cater to all customer needs and serves to offer a smooth customer experience without leaving the app. The partners plan to include epay's value-added services in Revolut’s standard offering for future international Revolut launches. The existing categories will also be expanded further with categories such as wellness, beauty, health, fitness and fashion. An epay representative states that their technical solution and processes enable the company to provide Revolut with these services via a single API, meaning that epay acts as an infrastructure partner for a global rollout.
