As online consumers become more educated, phishers have had to become increasingly more sophisticated. According to the study, the number of unique phishing attacks worldwide will grow an astonishing 115% from an average of 51 unique attacks per month in 2004, to 110 unique attacks per month by 2008. Despite increasing concerns over online security, the e-mail anti-phishing market is still in its infancy. This study divides the market into two segments: E-mail Anti-Phishing solutions which protect consumers from divulging personal information to criminals, and Anti-Fraud solutions which protect an organizations brand, trademark and website from fraud. The total market for both segments is expected to top $202 million in 2004, growing to over $880 million by 2008.
