Comnetix Inc., a leading provider of biometric identification and authentication solutions, has received an order, worth approximately $620,000 (US), for the industry leading Civil Applicant Processing System to perform employee background checks for a New York State health services agency.

The order includes the Companys next generation Java-based CAPS software which provides automated business process solutions for the healthcare industry developed specifically to comply with federal, state or self-imposed regulations and 40 desktop live scan systems. This is the second major order received recently from health services organizations in the state of New York. James P. Scullion, Comnetix CEO, said, This order is notable for two reasons. First, it is another example of the strength of our sales teams ability to further extend our presence in a key US market. It also demonstrates our commitment to providing software-centric business automation solutions that embrace leading technology standards such as J2EE which we use to promote scalability and highly-maintainable web clients. We are pleased that we have been chosen to improve this agencys business processes and look forward to working with and supporting it as it implements our solution. The live scan systems will also employ Minnetonka, MN-based Identix Incorporateds latest 10-print live scan technology, the recently released TouchPrint(TM) Enhanced Definition 3000 series.
