Cognitec Partner with Bull

Bull Italia, and Cognitec Systems GmbH have entered into a strategic partnership, to integrate Cognitec solutions within Bulls added value consultancy and system integration services. Thanks to this partnership the face recognition technology is now available on the Italian market. Cognitec’s face recognition technology has proven to work at an accuracy level that is worldleading. The Face Recognition Vendor Test 2002 by the US Government (FRVT2002, www.frvt.org) confirmed this leading position among the 10 participating vendors. Continued improvements of the underlying algorithms have since then boosted this performance further. The companys current list of products include solutions for physical access control and border control, a system for the acquisition of standardised ID photographs, and software for photograph matching in large databases, e.g. in law enforcement as well as visa and passport issuance. Bull is present in Italy with about 700 professionals mainly based in Pregnana Milanese (Milan area), Roma and Avellino. Bull has in Italy three competence centres focused on e-business, Telco and Security.
