Monday 3 May 2004 09:36 CET | News

Andres Liinat, head of Hansabanks retail banking division in Estonia today submitted his letter of resignation. Retail banking in Estonian has undergone fundamental changes during the past few years. The competitive situation is new, as are the offers on the market and our clients expectations. Hansabank has sometimes been too slow in reacting to these changes. Hansabank want to change their current position to be able to offer their clients solutions that would result in mutual loyalty between the customer and the bank. The new head of retail banking operations will be Priit Põldoja, the current head of investment management in Hansabank Group. Priit Põldoja has been working in Hansabank Group since 1998, when he started as the CFO of Hansabank Markets. Since 2000 he has been responsible for investment management operations of the Group in the Baltic countries.
