Monday 10 January 2005 21:36 CET | News

The 8th annual Sharing The image Knowledge (STiK) conference, which takes place March 6 through March 9 in San Antonio, offers an open forum for financial institutions to share check image processing experiences and plans.

Attendees will discuss new technologies, learn from the experiences of other financial institutions and work collaboratively with peers and vendors to develop new solutions. The steering committee, consisting of representatives from Bank of America, Bank One, BB&T, Fifth Third Bank, First Citizens, Fleet Bank, SunTrust, Wachovia and the Federal Reserve Board, will strive to ensure that attendees get the information most pertinent to their banks and applicable to their jobs. Fourteen leading image vendors have been selected to make a presentation on specific topics pre-determined by bank representatives on the steering committee. Vendor attendance is by invitation only. The original event was created in 1997. Originally titled Sharing The Knowledge, the conference was an open forum for item processing professionals to examine industry issues, share ideas and discuss solutions. Last year, the conference evolved to its current title, Sharing The image Knowledge, to address the needs and challenges created by Check 21. The conference is open to all financial institutions with an interest in item processing and will be held at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter Hotel. An opening golf outing and evening reception is on March 6, and the final session concludes at noon on March 9. For more information or to register for the conference and to make hotel reservations, visit the Web site at www.imageforum.org .
