CEO America Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Arnold Birenbaum has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of CEO America (CEOA), which Birenbaum joined in December as Executive Vice President.

Prior to joining the CEOA, Arnold was senior vice president, ePayments and Alliances for Oasis Technology Ltd., Canada, Birenbaum was the chairman and principal spokesperson for The Solstice Alliance, a six company alliance, including Scotiabank Canada, implementing the first commercial multi-application smart card payment system. At Visa International, where he was division head/vice president, national processing solutions, Birenbaum advanced acquiring products that increased card sales volume in every market new products were installed, including Visa Cash, micro payments and the first national roll-out of chip cards and terminals at the Atlanta Olympics. Internationally, he led business development of for-profit entities in Japan, Brazil, Mexico, UK, and the US for merchant point-of-sale business. Birenbaum previously held executive posts at Bank of America, where he was vice president/department head; Equitable Trust Company, Baltimore, Maryland, as senior data processing officer, and Maryland National Bank, Baltimore, Maryland, senior design analyst. He was a faculty member of the American Institute of Banking.
