Monday 29 November 2004 22:25 CET | News

Butterfield Bank, in the Cayman Islands has selected CR2s BankWorld ATM solution to manage their ATM network.

Butterfield Bank has chosen BankWorld ATM Client, Distributor and Controller to manage its ATMs on the islands and is the first bank in the Caribbean to license CR2s BankWorld ATM solution. The Windows-based ATM Client will also allow the bank to present a full graphical interface at this touchpoint, BankWorld Controller reports network or hardware faults immediately they occur thus reducing maintenance call-out costs, and BankWorld Distributor allows the bank to update the ATM software remotely, saving both time and money and ensuring that ATM uptime is maximised. The bank has been offering Mobile top up via ATMs since earlier this year. Customers will still be able to take advantage of this with the new software. In addition, non bank customers have and will continue to have the facility to top up their mobile phones via Butterfield Banks ATMs using their Visa cards. This provides the bank with an extra revenue stream.
