Bank of America Extends Transaction Cutoff Time in California

Tuesday 10 February 2004 00:16 CET | News

Bank of America has extended the cutoff time for processing deposits, payments and cashed checks received by associates in California banking centers, from 4 p.m. to end of business day.

This extension of the transaction cutoff time means that customers who complete deposits, payments or cash checks prior to closing at most banking centers will have their transactions processed on the same day, thus allowing for faster access to funds and greater service. The change is the result of applying technology to improve deposit and payment processing and the customer experience. Bank of America currently has 957 banking centers in California and the majority will honor the new cutoff time. The exceptions are those in rural or outlying areas requiring earlier pick up of work or those having early closing times. For banking centers open until 7:00 p.m., the cutoff time is 6:00 p.m. Cutoff times will be posted in the banking center and at the ATMs. Same-day processing is available weekdays, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
