Al Rajhi Selects Deibold for Major ATM Network Expansion

Thursday 16 October 2003 16:37 CET | News

Al Rajhi Banking and Investment Corporation (Alrajhi) has purchased more than 200 Diebold automated teller machines (ATMs) including Opteva units.

Al Alrajhi Bank has the largest branch and ATM network in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and in the region. This order will further increase the reach of Alrajhi by expanding its network with the new Diebold units. Diebold operates in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its distributor Alhamrani Universal (Universal). This order includes a mix of the most advanced self-service offerings from Diebold. The majority of the order includes Diebolds new Opteva ATMs. They provide a number of benefits to financial institutions including modular construction, which allows new features to be added in a cost-effective manner, and the largest full color display in the industry -- providing scope for high impact video promotions, messages and campaigns, and an intuitive graphical interface that simplifies maintenance functions. Opteva also has a number of additional security features to help protect the customer, such as awareness mirrors allowing users to view behind them while carrying out a transaction and discreet security cameras installed into the fascia. The units will operate on Diebolds Agilis software platform, an open system that allows multiple vendors terminals and their respective technologies to co-exist. The software brings new levels of speed, flexibility and performance throughout the entire self-service delivery channel.
