WorldRemit waives transfer fees to the Philippines in light of recent natural disaster

UK-based digital payments platform WorldRemit has announced the waiving of their fees on money transfers to the Philippines in light of the recent tropical storm.

According to the press release, customers will be able to send money from across the world to the Philippines with no service fees from 4 November to 10 November 2020. Through the WorldRemit website or mobile app, customers can send support to their family and friends in the Philippines free of charge using the code ‘PHRolly’ to complete the transaction.

WorldRemit is a global payments company that provides money transfer services that are cashless on the sending side and provides a range of options for those receiving the money including bank deposit, cash collection, mobile airtime top-up, and mobile money.
