Worldline, Conduent partner for payments, ticketing project in France

Monday 17 December 2018 10:59 CET | News

Worldline has partnered with Conduent to support Île-de-France Mobilités in the deployment of the various stages of launching new solutions to simplify the access to mobility.

Having chosen a service-oriented architecture, the two companies will have the ability to build and deploy solutions that meet the needs of new services and streamline the customer experience: Worldline introduces WL Tap 2 Use (a mobility account management solution), pay-per-use (an ecommerce solution), online subscription, and SaaS solutions.

In order to implement a solution that is able to handle changes in the services offering and the volumes to be processed, the consortium will rely on Conduents Atlas, an important ticketing product in Europe.

According to the press release, public transport in Île-de-France will enter a phase of opening to competition from 2021 for buses and gradually on the entire network until 2040 (subway and RER A and B).

In this context, the Île-de-France Mobilités organising authority has two major objectives: to establish open and effective competition and to guarantee the same access to the entire network and same services, whether travelers are leaving from Provins, Paris or Massy. The implementation of a central system fits both objectives with a solution designed to be able to accommodate a new operator, and enabling carriers to deploy the Smart Navigo and its associated services on the network they will oversee.
