This collaboration aims to offer businesses across various sectors, including retail, hospitality, and entertainment, improved payment capabilities and operational efficiency. The integration allows FreedomPay users to access Verifone’s secure payment devices. In essence, businesses can now leverage the strengths of both platforms to optimise their payment infrastructures.
Verifone officials noted that the partnership connects Verifone’s hardware solutions with FreedomPay’s platform, enabling merchants to adopt secure and innovative payment solutions that provide long-term value. Similarly, FreedomPay representativesTom Durovsik, highlighted the importance of offering merchants flexibility and advanced payment technology to enhance the customer experience.
Verifone’s payment devices, including mobile, multilane, unattended, and SoftPOS terminals, will be certified for use with FreedomPay’s network, making them accessible in an acquirer-agnostic format.

This partnership follows FreedomPay’s collaborative agreement with Stripe from October 2024. That collaboration aimed to support enterprises in unifying commerce. By teaming up, FreedomPay and Stripe worked towards allowing any enterprise to utilise the latter’s solutions for online and in-person payments together with their existing commerce tools.
Through this, the two companies aimed to provide businesses with flexibility and modularity without requiring substantial development resources.
FreedomPay also worked with hospitality technology provider Shiji in August 2024 in a bid to extend its solutions into the Mexican market. Aiming to Mexican hospitality payment solutions, Shiji and FreedomPay joined forces to improve staff and guest experiences for businesses across Latin America. The move fell in line with a shared commitment between the two firms, as well as the industry’s shift towards simplified transactions and payment management.
