Universal Air Travel Plan (UATP), a payment network owned by the worlds airlines, has teamed up with alternative payment services provider paysafecard group.

As a result of this partnership, UATP will allow its customers to pay online for flights with paysafecards prepaid voucher dubbed Cash-Ticket. Airlines which are part of the UATP network will integrate Cash-Ticket by making use of the existing airline UATP connections for processing Cash-Ticket transactions.

The Cash Ticket system allows customers to use prepaid vouchers for online payments. After purchasing a Cash-Ticket voucher at participating outlets in Europe with a value between EUR 10 and EUR 150, consumers can use the vouchers PIN to pay on the internet. Users can keep track of their balance and transactions online. The paysafecard group operates in 20 countries across the world with offices in Vienna, London and Bern.

UATP accounts are accepted as a payment option for corporate business travel by airlines and travel agencies. In April 2009, UATP announced a partnership with UK online payments provider Ukash to allow its customers to make online payments for flights via the Ukash system.
