Stripe unveils its operations in Israel

US-based payments processing software company Stripe has launched its operations in Israel, ahead of joining the local market.

For now, the company will mainly focus on sales and support operations, with research and development following in the next months.

Founded in 2010, Stripe creates payment processing software that allows app developers to embed payment solutions from credit cards or digital means. The company has raised over USD 2.2 billion since its inception, including from Elon Musk and capital firm Sequoia Capital, and will likely go public in 2022 at a value that could exceed USD 95 billion.

Stripe continues its worldwide expansion after previously launching operations in Europe and Dubai. According to reports, it will strengthen its geographic position by entering the markets of Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
