Stripe integrates support for Bitcoin payments

The payments company Stripe will add support for Bitcoin payments, www.thenextweb.com reports.

Stripe raised over USD 120 million in funding and now, has launched a private beta which integrates support for Bitcoin, along with another 135 global currencies, which are already covered.

Patrick Collison, Stripe co-founder and CEO, has informed that Bitcoin enables anyone to pay for goods regardless of whether they own a credit card or not. Shopify, Balanced and Overstock are among the retail and payment firms that already support Bitcoin.
