Nubank launches NuPay to facilitate online shopping

Thursday 31 March 2022 12:03 CET | News

Brasil-based Nubank has launched NuPay, an online payment solution for ecommerce sites using the digital bank's application.

NuPay allows payment via account debit or interest-free instalments on the card. Additional credit card limits will be offered, without the need for the person to fill in data or previously contract the service. According to Nubank this new feature will encourage more e-commerce because almost 50% of people give up completing an online purchase due to bureaucratic procedures and fear of sharing card data.

So far, the system is released in the checkouts of the websites of Consul, Positivo Tecnologia, Baw Clothing, Madesa Móveis, and in Lojinha do Nubank. The solution can be integrated directly into partner ecommerce platforms or via API into different retail systems, therefore more networks may join in the coming months. NuPay for Business will be responsible for assisting in the integration of the infrastructure with major ecommerce platforms, as well as ensuring commercial support and prospecting B2B customers for the new product.
