Network International, PayPal partner to enable transfers for UAE merchants

Tuesday 1 July 2014 13:37 CET | News

Network International, a payment solutions provider, has entered an agreement with online payments provider PayPal to enable UAE merchants to withdraw funds in the UAE national currency (AED) from PayPal directly into a local bank account.

With this partnership, merchants will have access to their online payments from customers, offering them ecommerce opportunities. The service is expected to be launched in October 2014.

According to the CEO of Network International, Bhairav Trivedi, cross-border ecommerce transactions have presented challenges for UAE-based merchants due to circuitous transfer routes and fluctuating exchanges rates, which results in limited access to cash flows.

In recent news, PayPal has unveiled an app for Android Wear. The app is set to initially roll out to PayPal’s beta community, eventually rolling out to all Android Wear devices in the coming weeks.

Network International sells surplus oil and gas, construction, and power equipment through auctions and private sales.
