Lightspeed, dLocal partner to offer local payments to merchants in LATAM

Wednesday 24 February 2021 13:57 CET | News

Payment platform dLocal and Lightspeed, a provider of cloud-based, omnichannel commerce platforms, have announced a new partnership.

Via this collaboration, merchants will be allowed to accept local payment options across LATAM, as the small business market in that region undergoes a rapid digital transformation.

The direct integration is now live in Mexico, and it enables Lightspeed ecommerce merchants to start accepting local payment methods in Mexican pesos. This industry-specific solution will allow merchants to facilitate direct bank-to-bank transfers through Mexico’s SPEI system, accept cash through digital voucher payments such as Oxxo, and accept local credit and debit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, AMEX or Mexico’s Carnet Debit.
