Etisalat, Noor Bank tie up with MoneyGram for cross-border remittances through eWallet

Digital Financial Services, MoneyGram have announced the launch of an international remittance service to 200 countries through an eWallet account.

 

Money transfers can be made digitally to over 350,000 locations including banks, counter agents and mobile wallet operators. 

Digital Financial Services is the joint venture conducted by United Arab Emirates-based telco Etisalat and Noor Bank. The eWallet service is regulated and licensed by the Central Bank of the UAE.  Unlike other mobile wallets and payment apps, there is no need to have a bank account, credit or debit card to do digital payments. Customers only need a valid Emirates ID and a working UAE mobile number to register for the eWallet account
