EMH Partners acquires subscription billing service provider cleverbridge

Germany-based private equity firm EMH Partners has announced the acquisition of cleverbridge, subscription billing service provider.

EMH Partners has agreed to acquire 65% of the shares of cleverbridge. The EMH investment will allow cleverbridge to grow its cloud platform and the business overall.

Cleverbridge was founded in 2005. It sells its subscription billing service to companies across sectors but focuses on digital goods and software. The commerce-as-a-service platform offers users global tax and regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, chargeback, and dispute management, as well as customer service. In 2020, the company stated that it processed more than USD 782 million in transactions across 190 countries in 60 different currencies.
