Friday 21 September 2012 10:14 CET | News

Indian online payment service provider E-Billing Solutions (EBS) has inked a contract with PayPal.

Under the terms of the agreement, more than 5,000 EBS online merchants can add PayPal as a payment option to their EBS merchant account and sell to PayPals 113 million active accounts in 190 markets. PayPal’s Express Checkout integrates with EBS providing online merchants with a one-stop-shop payment solution to accept online and mobile payments in up to 25 currencies.

According to Mayur Patel, India Country Manager, PayPal Southeast Asia & India, cited by online media outlet indiatimes.com, India is a prominent market for the company and the partnership with EBS would help exporters from the country to sell to global customers. Furthermore, the partnership makes EBS the first Channel Partner in India for PayPal.

In recent news, PayPal has revealed plans to suspend domestic transactions in Argentina to prevent users from transferring money between their own accounts.
