Bexs Platform rolls out new international payments solution connected to Pix

Monday 28 June 2021 13:28 CET | News

Brazil-based digital bank Bexs has announced releasing a new solution that allows cross-border transactions to tie up with Pix on a 24x7 basis.

The platform developed by the bank is the first to connect international payment services to Pix, the Central Bank instantaneous transfer system.

Recently Bexs has been completing more than a million international payments through Pix per day, the company states. The solution was made available to customers in May 2021, and during that month, more than 75% of the bank's transactions went via Pix, more than through the same-day transfer system, TED, which up to the end of April 2021 had been used for all the transfers handled by Bexs. The monthly volume surged from 300,000 to 20 million transactions.

Bexs Banco is forecasting wider use of the platform in the near future to provide international payments via Pix to other sectors of the economy. These include education, ecommerce and tourism.
