Starling Bank has received a GBP 50 million investment from Goldman Sachs.

The new cash, still subject to regulatory approval, is an extension of the bank’s GBP 272 million Series D funding round in March 2021, which pushed the company to unicorn status with a GBP 1.1 billion valuation.

Starling says it now has more than two million current accounts, including 350,000 business accounts with its deposit base surging 600% from GBP 1 billion just over a year ago, to now more than GBP 6 billion.
