Gothenburg State Bank Adds Internet Banking Services

Friday 18 June 2004 15:54 CET | News

Nebraska Based Gothenburg State Bank & Trust Company, is adding Imaging and Internet Banking to its menu of services.

Computer Services, (CSI) and Digital Insight will help the bank prepare for Check 21, make the banks operations more efficient and enhance customer service by providing customers with the convenience of image statements and the ability to bank whenever they please. Gothenburg, Nebraska, population 3646, is located in the old Buffalo range on what was once the Overland Trail. Two of the few Pony Express stations still in existence are located there. But the $80 million Gothenburg State Bank & Trust Company is very progressive. It provides email and Internet access to employees through CSINET and account information to customers round-the-clock through CenterVoice, CSIs voice response system. The use of CenterView has eliminated microfiche; instead the bank accesses a CSI server for viewing or printing of daily report files. Last year, the bank replaced all its PCs with new ones. Digital Insight is currently developing the banks new website. And once imaging is in place, the bank plans to offer email statements.
