Tuesday 31 October 2023 11:26 CET | News

Zeller has launched Tap-to-Pay on iPhone to enable business owners to accept contactless payments by utilising the Zeller iOS app.

Zeller aims to enable businesses using Zeller to securely accept in-person contactless payments using iPhone contactless payment acceptance technology and the Zeller App.

Tap-to-Pay on iPhone accepts all forms of contactless payments, including, contactless credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and other digital wallets, with no additional hardware or payment terminal needed.

Zeller has launched Tap-to-Pay on iPhone to enable business owners to accept contactless payments by utilising the Zeller iOS app.

At checkout, the merchant will simply prompt the customer to hold their contactless credit or debit card, iPhone or Apple Watch to pay near the merchant’s iPhone. The payment, then, will be securely completed using NFC technology. Tap-to-Pay on iPhone also supports PIN entry, which includes accessibility options.

The technology uses the built-in features of the iPhone to keep businesses and customers’ data private and secure. When a payment is processed, Apple will not store card numbers on the device or on Apple servers.

Benefits of Zeller’s Tap-to-Pay on iPhone

  • Getting started and simplicity of use: business owners can easily use Tap-to-Pay on iPhone with the Zeller App. They simply need to log in, enter a payment amount, and have the customer tap their contactless card or smartphone to the merchant’s iPhone.

About Zeller and its strategy of development

Based in Australia, Zeller is a payments and financial services solution for businesses to accept payments, manage their finances, and pay recipients. In 2023, Zeller sought to expand its offering to encourage more businesses to leverage the platform as their primary financial services provider. In February of the same year, the company launched various financial service offerings.

The Zeller Transaction Account would enable businesses to store, save, and manage funds online. It is also intended to be a fast way for any business to create a transaction account.

The Zeller Debit Card allows businesses to issue virtual or physical debit cards in less than 25 seconds for both in-store and online business expenses, looking to enable a better understanding of where and how employees are spending.

Additionally, the Zeller App would help with the management of new account and card products, enabling business owners to create accounts, issue cards, and access detailed financial reports and insights from their iOS or Android devices.
