According to DCommerce.it, through the Apple Pay integration with Viva Wallet, consumers are allowed to pay in a safer manner, without having to give their credit card information, or touch physical buttons and cash.
To benefit from the offering, customers must hold their iPhone or Apple Watch close to a terminal to make a contactless payment. Besides, every Apple Pay purchase is secure because it's authenticated with the device's Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode, as well as a unique temporary dynamic security code. Apple Pay is accepted in grocery stores, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, coffee shops, retail outlets, and many other businesses.
Moreover, customers can also use Apple Pay on iPhones, iPads, and Macs to make purchases in-app or on the web conveniently, while using Safari, without having to create an account or repeatedly type in shipping and billing information.
Additionally, while using their Viva Wallet Mastercard with Apple Pay, consumers’ card numbers are not stored on the device or on Apple servers. Instead, a unique Device Account Number is assigned, which is encrypted and securely stored in the Secure Element, a certified chip designed for the purpose of securely storing payment information on the device.
