Uniform Industrial Corporation (UIC), a US-based payment solution provider has teamed up with a European parking and public transportation ticketing company IEM, to provide French customers with payments solution using Visa payWave, MasterCard paypass, and NFC-enabled mobile phones.

Under the terms of the partnership, the two parties have developed a solution for pay and display machines, which enables ‘tap and go’ service with Visa payWave, MasterCard paypass, and Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled mobile phones for the French market.

The contactless payment device, UIC680, developed by UIC, is integrated with IEM’s existing payment system and allows IEM to offer a range of payment on low powered devices. The UIC680 device has an EMV contactless reader which can work on low power. ‘Tap and go’ solution enables the customers to tap their card or mobile phone to the payment device on the parking meter to make the transaction.

IEM is set to start the release of Presto Pay NFC in France in the coming months and later on extend the solution to nearby countries in Europe.

Uniform Industrial Corporation is a DMS manufacturer in the payment industry. UIC is a national provider of components and systems for banking, and retail solutions.
