UBI provides merchant with payment service on mobile phones

Indian financial institution United Bank of India (UBI) has rolled out its merchant payment service on mobile phones using the IMPS (immediate payment service) merchant payment service offered by the National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI). 

The service is set to enable customers to have access to merchant payment services including mobile recharge, utility payments and ticketing facilities.
