Symbol Technologies Contributes to Tsunami Relief Efforts

Symbol Technologies has pledged $150,000 in aid to the American Red Cross, Mercy Corps and the United Nations Childrens Fund (UNICEF) in order to help with the emergency humanitarian relief effort in Southeast Asia, Sri Lanka, and the Indian subcontinent.

Symbols 6,000 global employees have quickly responded to the Companys donation with their own contributions to the Symbol Disaster Relief Fund. For example, Symbol employees in India have pledged to donate one days pay to assist in this aid effort. Symbol is committed to supporting a variety of charitable organizations that provide much needed assistance to those in need worldwide. As Symbol continues to grow, so does its commitment to be a source of pride for all employees worldwide. In addition to a formal corporate giving program, Symbol employees are involved, as departments or individuals, in a variety of charitable events which include blood, clothing and food drives, participation in charity walks, serving on not-for-profit boards, or volunteering their time to their favorite charities during non-work hours.
