According to the press release, the technology allows consumers to pay their bill at restaurants, retail stores, and hotels by simply scanning a QR code on the receipt or payment terminal and completing the transaction on their phone. There is no additional charge for Shift4 clients to implement QR Pay at their business.
Moreover, the solution is integrated with a series of point-of-sale (POS) and property management systems (PMS) to facilitate the checkout experience. Besides, QR Pay will add support for loyalty functionality and full ordering capabilities in upcoming software updates.
