PayU, Google Pay introduce tokenised payment flow in India

Friday 18 December 2020 13:09 CET | News

PayU has teamed up with Google Pay to introduce a tokenised payments flow for merchants in India.

Via this collaboration, PayU’s merchants can offer Google Pay users the option to use their debit cards, credit cards, or Google Pay UPI to make repeated payments without having to share their card details.

The card information is tokenised, and the digital token is linked to the mobile device, allowing Google Pay users to make repeated payments. Furthermore, users also have one-click payment as an option as they do not have to re-enter their payment information. The OTP is read automatically, and the payment is processed without the need for redirections to third party sites.
