Paytm launches contactless feature for restaurants and eateries

Thursday 30 April 2020 13:09 CET | News

India-based ecommerce company Paytm has launched a post lockdown contactless dining solution for restaurants and eateries.

According to Business Traveller, the company has created a unique QR that will be displayed at restaurants, as more businesses are expected to be on board post lockdown.

Regarding ordering, consumers must scan the QR code to check the complete menu on the Paytm app, thereby avoiding the need to touch the menu card. After the order is placed, they get live updates while waiting for the products to arrive. As payment options, Paytm app offers UPI, e-wallet, net-banking, and cards.

Moreover, the restaurant owners will get a customised Store page for their brand on the Paytm app to increase their visibility. Additionally, the app can be integrated with the existing POS to offer a contactless experience to both the customers and the merchant, Paytm officials declared.
