Paysend partners with Tencent for money transfers through Weixin

UK-based fintech Paysend has announced a technology partnership with Tencent to enable people to receive money through Weixin, the PRC version of WeChat.

Through investment in technology, innovation, and expanding its global payments network, Paysend is increasing financial inclusion. Serving more than five million customers in over 135 countries around the world, Paysend may augment money transfers to China through this new partnership with Tencent Financial Technology, according to the press release.

Paysend officials stated that this new partnership with Tencent Financial Technology expands acceptance of Paysend transfers to Weixin users and underlines the company’s ambition to use technology to make payments faster and easier for millions of people around the world.
