PayPal has unveiled that they have joined forces with restaurant chains Prezzo, Wagamama and Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) to enable payments via their smartphone app.

Following the agreement, consumers are able to pay for their GBK meal by using their PayPal profile picture.

Also, they can order and pay for a wagamama take-out through the PayPal app.

Finally, this payment technology lets customers at Prezzo restaurants split a bill between friends and pay for their meal at the table through PayPal’s mobile app, without having to wait for restaurant staff to take payment.

In recent news, Markit Media, a web design, marketing and advertising company, has partnered PayPal to deliver merchant experience with upgraded PayPal integration across websites.
