US-based mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) services provider PayAnywhere, has rolled out PayAnywhere 2.0, its mPOS solution for Android, along with an enhanced online merchant portal, PayAnywhere Inside.

The Android PayAnywhere 2.0 mPOS app works with the PayAnywhere mobile credit card reader, which plugs into the audio jack of a supported Android device, enabling merchants to accept credit and debit card payments from their Android phone or tablet.

Available for download from the Google Play store, the PayAnywhere 2.0 Android app features inventory management capabilities, support for multiple users on a single merchant account, wireless printer support, enhanced reporting features and streamlined user settings.

In order to set up a PayAnywhere account, a merchant visits the app store to download the PayAnywhere app and follows the in-app instructions to sign up for an account. The PayAnywhere reader is then mailed via US Mail.

In recent news, PayAnywhere has been selected Goodsmiths, the marketplace for makers, to power mobile payment capabilities for Goodsmiths’ popular Swipe mobile app.
