Wednesday 13 November 2013 08:40 CET | News

Telecommunication services provider Telefónica, a parent company of mobile communication provider O2, has unveiled that direct carrier billing is available for Windows Phone users in the UK.

Thus, O2 customers in the UK are able to use ‘Charge to Mobile’ when making a purchase through the Microsoft Windows Phone Store. Whether buying digital services from a website, mobile site or within an application, ‘Charge to Mobile’ enables the customer to pay via their mobile phone bill or prepaid credit.

Charge to Mobile is available to all O2 consumer customers, with no requirement to register for the service.

In recent news, Germany-based electronic payment services provider Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) has entered a strategic alliance with Telefonica to handle the latter’s applications security in O2 Wallet.
