Nets to adopt Alipay+ payments solution

Monday 8 November 2021 12:48 CET | News

Nets, a Singapore-based payment service provider has announced it will integrate Ant Group’s cross-border payments solution Alipay+ into its merchant portal.

Introduced by Ant Group in 2020, Alipay+ is a suite of solutions that allow businesses, especially SMEs, to accept cross-border payment methods, such as localised e-wallets from other Asian countries. Alipay+ also provides merchants with digital marketing solutions.

By adopting Alipay+, Nets' merchants will be able to accept payments in Singapore currency from users of e-wallets in Asia, who will pay in their home wallet currency.

Ant did not specify which e-wallets are on board Alipay+. The company is invested in a range of South-east Asian e-wallets, including Ascend Money (Thailand), eMonkey (Vietnam), TNG Digital (Malaysia), Dana (Indonesia) and GCash (The Philippines).
