Mogli receives fintech licence

Tuesday 4 May 2021 14:15 CET | News

The Switzerland-based payments startup Mogli has received a fintech licence from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (Finma).

Mogli plans to launch the full version of its payment app on the market. The target customers for the digital wallet include corporate customers such as Swiss SMEs and their customers. Mogli keeps its customer funds in a current account at the Swiss National Bank. The payments company offers a white label product, which is a payment solution for airlines, cruise lines, hotels, web shops and other companies. Transaction costs should be lower when using the Mogli app compared to the interchange fees of classic credit cards. The app is currently still running as a beta version for family and friends and should be launched in the Q2 2021.
