Mi-Pay, O2 in top-up services deal

UK-based mobile financial services company Mi-Pay has entered a partnership with UK mobile communication provider O2.

Under the terms of the deal, Mi-Pay is expected to enable O2 Pay & Go customers in the UK to top up their mobiles using credit and debit cards. The new O2 top up service is expected to work on Mi-Pay’s Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certified platform.

The O2 Pay & Go service counts 8 million customers in the UK.

In recent news, O2 is reportedly considering developing new mobile money products and is planning to launch a mobile wallet in H2 2011, media outlet totaltele.com reports.
