Keeping in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, Ooredoo is aiming to driving digitalisation of the economy in the country as well as ensure the launching of latest in digital payment solutions.
According to the press release, customers can apply for the Mastercard virtual prepaid card using the Ooredoo Money app. The new product enables immediate issuance of digital cards and allows users to perform online payments. Via this partnership, Ooredoo Money will also be issuing Mastercard’s contactless physical cards, thus allowing contactless payments using NFC for retail transactions anywhere in the world.
