Joompay launches P2P payments app across Europe

Friday 5 February 2021 08:46 CET | News

Joompay has launched its P2P payments app across Europe after obtaining a Luxembourg Electronic Money Institution license.

According to TechCrunch, users only need to know an email or a phone number to send money to someone. In addition, they can use a custom paytag that does not reveal any personal details. Furthermore, users can split a bill, make purchases online, and send money to people in other countries. The app also allows users to create customisable payment pages, share their personal Joompay URL, and collect money from customers or receive donations.

In December 2020, Joompay became a Principal Member of the Visa card scheme, allowing it to issue its new Joompay cards across Europe.
