The Essence application enables customers to check balance enquiry, transaction history or to send and request money via Facebook, PayPal and SMS.
With Essence, financial institutions can provide service for their customers on the go. The customers need to approve a pre-filled payment template with one tap and they receive reminders as push messages on the go to avoid missing payments.
The user ID and password are asked only once as later a four digit PIN or a screen lock pattern is required. Customers can add photos to their transactions and link their Facebook contacts to their bank account to transfer money based on photos.
